Nestled in rolling farmlands, framed by the spectacular
Hunua Ranges, lies the charming little village of Clevedon.
There you will find Crabtree Farm.
Crabtree Farm is a retreat, set in a valley of 40 hectares
(100 acres), just 2 kms from the village and just
a short distance from the lovely Pohutukawa Coast beaches.
With a backdrop of native and exotic forest, the farm
grows crab apple trees in its developing gardens, to
replace the historic trees of early settlers.
Other features in the gardens are large ponds and meandering
streams, a developing vineyard, polo and equestrian
facilities, organic potagers, hens, ducks, peacocks
and pheasants strolling through the lovely gardens at
various times of the day. Crabtree Farms western
boundary enjoys a large secluded Forest & Bird Reserve.
The farmhouse was built in 1980 from macrocarpa milled
on the farm. Crabtree Farm is a working farm, yet provides
all the comforts of an English country home; Log Fires,
antiques, exquisite starched bed linen, guest hot tub,
classical music and local organic produce and wines.
